Daniel Alrick

Greetings!  I am a meteorologist at the Bay Area Air Quality Management District in San Francisco.  I moved to the Bay Area from Seattle in 2009.  While in the Northwest, I graduated with a M.S. in Atmospheric Science from the University of Washington in 2006; my thesis research was focused on mesoscale modeling of frontal bands using the MM5 and WRF models.  I received my B.S. in Meteorology from Valparaiso University.  My fascination with weather started early in childhood.  Growing up in the Midwest, I was constantly intrigued by the ever-changing sky, from day to day and season to season.  I often post information and graphics to Twitter regarding current weather events, so please follow me using the link at the top of the page.

Take a look through the website for more information on my background, and thanks for stopping by!
